The Selfies 4 Good Club is a school club that promotes face to face interactions and using social media productively through participation in the Selfies 4 Good Initiative to make friends, uplift others and help students feel less isolated. Club members get together for social events and service projects. Anyone is welcome to participate in the monthly social media themes and contests the club hosts.
The Selfies 4 Good Club meets once a month for a service project or social get-together. In addition, the Club hosts monthly social media themes and contests.
Selfies 4 Good was created because of the scary rates of teen suicides in Utah and the ever-increasing social media presence in our lives. The club and social initiative use social media to make friends, uplift others, and help our fellow students feel included. We believe all lives are worth living.
Selfies 4 Good was made for students and community members to take selfies for a good cause. Participants get to make new friends by taking a meaningful selfie with them in addition to learning a unique uplifting thing about them. Through face to face interactions and using social media productively, the Selfies 4 Good Club and Initiative is connecting the community one selfie at a time.
The Selfies 4 Good Club usually meets on the second Tuesday of each month. Our meetings are during lunch in room D203. Check the club calendar below for the next club meeting date.
NO!! Though the club emphasizes using social media for good, you can still participate in all of the monthly service projects and get-togethers. If you still want to participate in the social media themes and contests, you can email your social media submissions to the club officers and they can post them for you.
